The mechanical engineering course is your entry point to mechanical design. You plan, analyze and resolve technical problems on our machines and devices, or you work on the components directly yourself.

Mechanical engineering course at KUKA

The dual integrated studies in mechanical engineering will turn you into an expert for mechanical design. At KUKA in Augsburg, mechanical engineers primarily deal with large machines and robots. They repair them, check pressures and temperatures, connect controllers and manufacture components themselves. If something does not work, not only do they find the fault, they also analyze the cause and document the solution.

At the Bremen site, the co-operative education program in mechanical engineering also covers the areas of sales and project management.

In your dual integrated studies in mechanical engineering, we will also familiarize you with technical documents. You will read and interpret diagrams, and derive the correct measures and sequences of operations from them.

The mechanical engineering co-operative education program concentrates on the following areas of learning:

Working with manufacturing plans, drawings and standards
Planning work processes, materials, tools and equipment
Working with metals and plastics using different technologies
Operating and installing electropneumatic and electrohydraulic controls

KUKA offers the dual studies in mechanical engineering in Augsburg and Bremen.
The Augsburg and Bremen sites offer the mechanical engineering course as a dual integrated studies program.

Augsburg:

After successful graduation after 4.5 years, you will be a trained industrial mechanic (CIC) and receive the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) qualification from Augsburg Technical University of Applied Sciences. The course is held in cooperation with the vocational school Berufsschule I and Augsburg Technical University of Applied Sciences.

What this means for you: both your practical work placements at KUKA and your teaching and lectures take place in Augsburg.

After successful graduation after 4 years, you will be a trained industrial mechanic (CC) and receive the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) qualification from Bremen University of Applied Sciences. The course is held in cooperation with the Bremen Chamber of Commerce and Bremen University of Applied Sciences.

What this means for you: both your practical work placements at KUKA and your teaching and lectures take place in Bremen.
